Putting your profit First

‘Profit First’ by Mike Michalowicz assisted me in managing my finances. The advice given in the book was beneficial; I tried it out, put it to the test, and it worked for me. I also use its concepts when working with business owners as part of my coaching business.

Mismanagement is one of the problems that business owners and entrepreneurs face. I also can say that most of the people I know also have a hard time navigating this area of your business. To give you a view, in my experience, more business owners work hard to work long hours but then receive less money. Do you also experience this? In this episode, I give a few remedies and guidance in my coaching sessions. My goal for everyone is to get more business owners to be in a position where the profit comes first, the expenses come second, and life starts to look the way they anticipated when they started their business.

I am a firm believer in keeping track of your company's finances. Take charge of your finances and have a better grasp of managing them. I believe that being able to master that expertise will have a significant impact on your potential to expand your business. I can guarantee you that it will give you a great deal of financial independence if done correctly.

Understand your business's numbers and strive to be free of financial mismanagement. Make sure your numbers are in order! You can generate a profit in your business and learn to be the CFO of your company if you follow some effortless financial ideas I've provided to you.

[01:48] Business finances in sales and personal financial plan. The concept behind paying yourself first for personal finance. Take your savings out of there where you don't even miss it, and pay expenses out of the remaining amount.

[05:38] Envelope System . This is the concept that you get money in, and you separate into each little group that you might want to spend from.

[10 :00] I see so many business owners feeling two things: One, that they can't grow as fast as they want because there's a timeline and rules. The second thing is the 'shame piece.' There is not one financial professional or business coach that I have ever run across that gives people shit for not doing it right already, for me as an example.
