I don't Do Mom Guilt

For the dads and moms out there that are listening. This is for you!

Mom/Dad guilt is a phrase that says that when you're feeling torn between work time and family time and feeling like you need to be working when you're with your kids or when you're at home and feeling like when you're at work, you should be spending more time with the kids. I genuinely think that many business owners experience this because it appears to be we are in control of the situation, which I feel can do more harm than good. If we aren't aware of this and take action, everything will fall out.

I know everyone desires to have active participation in their family lives and, at the same time, have the time and flexibility to handle our business; that's why you have to listen in this episode because I will speak about some of the learnings and practices that I make in my home to keep everything in shape and all priorities are in place.

If your goal is to feel at peace, succeed in our careers, and fulfill our duties as a parent, listen and let me help pull you out to build that flexibility and ditch the mom guilt.

[06:13 ] I want you to talk to yourself about how clear and concise you have made your work hours to your kids. Maybe the question should be how clearly and concisely have you outlined your work hours for yourself?

[12:27] You are showing them that you're going after your dreams. You're showing them that you're working hard to create the result that you want to make. I think that lesson; sometimes we forget how valuable that is for our kids to see that. You're a shining example of someone who goes after it and does it and focuses on it.
